The main objective of the project is the integration and modernization of the waterway infrastructure of the Sava within the Trans-European Transport Network. As an international waterway, the Sava river does not meet the navigability criteria for the European inland waterways as provided in the AGN Agreement, since it should enable safe navigation for vessels of class IV for 300 days per year. The project is conducted in the section between Jaruge and Novi Grad.
he objective of the project was to enhance the Hungarian River Information Services (RIS) system in order to support efficient and safe inland navigation on the Danube. The project consisted of works to enhance traffic management services, modernise on-shore RIS services and improve the quality of fairway information services data.
The initiative intended to remove the shipwrecks from the riverbed of the Danube that might hinder navigation or pose an environmental risk.
BASIC PROJECT DATA Project ID: PA1A073 NEED AND ADDED VALUE FOR THE DANUBE REGION STRATEGY Downstream of the Ðerdap II dam at Prahovo a large graveyard of shipwrecks is present
The main target of this study is to analyse the potential of the mentioned new inland waterway link Danube-Oder-Elbe from an economical, ecological, hydrological, transport and social point of view. On the basis of its output decisions would be made on the next steps to be taken concerning this project.
The concluded project entailed the construction of an LNG terminal in the Port of Ruse, equipped with a truck fuelling station and a pontoon to be used for the future fuelling of LNG vessels.
The ongoing project concerns the modernisation and extension of the existing rail and road infrastructure in the port, in order to increase the attractiveness of the port in the TEN-T Core Network.
The aim of the project is to ensure the infrastructure for the deployment of alternative fuels in synergy with other projects on scientific research and pilot deployments of LNG vessels, LNG master plan etc. By the end of 2018, a feasibility study will be prepared, laying the groundwork for the construction of the LNG terminal.
