7th Annual Forum in Sofia

November 20, 2018in 2018 0 Likes

The 7th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region took place on 18-19 October 2018 in Sofia. This year’s Annual Forum specifically focussed on topics related to the preservation of cultural and historical heritage, new technologies and digitalization in the tourism sector, ensuring safety and security in tourism, transport connectivity and mobility. Two parallel thematic sessions on sustainable tourism mobility and security in public spaces as well as an open-air exhibition were organised.

During the 7th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, Priority Area 1a on Inland Waterways was represented through a dedicated workshop on “Sustainable tourism mobility” and an own exhibition stand. Once again the forum proved to be an excellent opportunity for a lively exchange on policy and project progress in our field of action. Many new contacts were established and existing ones were strengthened. Priority Area 1a thereby provided a communication platform for the many projects that are promoted and monitored within our priority area.
