PA1a project database relaunched at the 6th EUSDR Annual Forum

October 20, 2017in 2018 0 Likes

The 6th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region took place on 18-19 October 2017 in Budapest. Under the title ‘A secure, connected and prospering Danube Region’, the Forum put a strong emphasis on the challenges of energy security, transportation development and financing opportunities.  At the occasion of the Annual Forum, the PA1a project database was relaunched.

During the 6th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, Priority Area 1a on Inland Waterways was represented through a dedicated workshop of Thematic Pole 7 (Waterways) and an own exhibition stand. The Forum thereby proved to be an excellent opportunity for a lively exchange on policy and project progress in our field of action. Many new contacts were established and existing ones were strengthened. Priority Area 1a thereby provided a communication platform for the many projects that are promoted and monitored within our priority area.

At the occasion of the Annual Forum, the PA1a project database was relaunched. The project database provides detailed information about ongoing and concluded projects as well as planned initiatives and project ideas. Several filters ease searching for topical project information according to different criteria. Getting the latest information on project activities in the field of the Danube waterway was never so easy. The database contains over 100 project descriptions and is accessible online at www.danube-navigation.eu/projects.

The Forum was jointly organised by Hungary (Presidency of the EUSDR), the European Commission (Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy – DG REGIO) and the DTP Joint Secretariat.
