DAPhNE – Danube Ports Network (EUSDR Strategic Project)

Transnational project (AT, SK, HU, HR, RS, RO, BG, MD, UA) The DAPhNE project aimed at developing a project platform in the Danube region that would allow a permanent and long-term structured exchange of information between all relevant stakeholders. Even after the project is completed, this platform shall function as a network which works as a generator of future development, innovation and capacity building projects.

Transnational project (AT, RO) The project (study) at port Giurgiu comprised the elaboration of several feasibility studies, technical concepts and models as well as a business plan for the proposed measures which all serve as good practices for further investments in Danube ports.

BORD – Creation of a Support System for Hydrographical Works on the Danube meant to assure Minimum Navigation Depths

National project (RO) The project was concerned with the completion of a network of markings (a system of reference) for the Romanian Danube and a catalogue with the precise coordinates of those markings, both in the Romanian reference system (necessary for the cadastre records) and in the European reference system (necessary for the changes on the electronic navigation charts).

National project (HU) Within the project at hand, the Hungarian marking system will be modernised. Three full-functional marking vessels and three high-speed inspection boats as well as land- and waterside navigation signs will be procured and put into pilot operation. The project contributes to the implementation of the Fairway Rehabilitation and Maintenance Master Plan.
