Transnational project (NL, BE, FR, AT, HU) PLATINA 3 makes the bridge towards future research, innovation and implementation needs within IWT in Europe. The project provides targeted coordination and support activities to promote Inland Waterways Transport (IWT) in Europe. A key objective is providing the knowledge base for the implementation of the EU Green Deal in view of further development of the EC`s IWT action programme (NAIADES) towards 2030. PLATINA 3 sets up a coordinated, interactive discussion platform of key IWT policy makers, experts, researchers, river commissions as well as representatives from IWT industry, wider logistics (other modes), waterborne industries and other sectors to jointly identify means, measures and tools to promote IWT.

Transnational project (NL, BE, FR, DE, AT, SK, HR, RO) The objectives of the projects are the development of curricula and lesson materials, as well as a Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) system by fifteen partners from eight different EU member states, to ensure the highest level of quality concerning the implementation of future proof IWT education and training throughout the EU.

National project (HR) The main objective of the project is the integration and modernization of the waterway infrastructure of the Sava within the Trans-European Transport Network. As an international waterway, the Sava river does not meet the navigability criteria for the European inland waterways as provided in the AGN Agreement, since it should enable safe navigation for vessels of class IV for 300 days per year. The project is conducted in the section between Jaruge and Novi Grad.

national project (HU) The objective of the project was to enhance the Hungarian River Information Services (RIS) system in order to support efficient and safe inland navigation on the Danube. The project consisted of works to enhance traffic management services, modernise on-shore RIS services and improve the quality of fairway information services data.
